Sales text message templates you can send today

Selling happens in short messages: a reply to a web form, a reminder before a call, a nudge after the quote, a thank you after the deal. Most reps type these from scratch dozens of times a week, and the tired ones read like it. These twelve messages cover the whole path, from the first hello to the renewal, in plain words and with one blank to fill. They are meant for people who gave you their number and expect to hear from you, never for bought lists. Copy any message, or add all twelve to your keyboard and send them from iMessage, WhatsApp, LinkedIn or any other app in one tap. Pick a situation below for a full set.

Works in WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, Messenger and every other app.

Words in {{double braces}} are blanks. In the textcuts keyboard you fill them with one tap, and the names you used recently come back.

A light nudge

Essential
I did not want my last message to get lost, {{name}}. Is this still something you are planning?

When to send: Three days of silence.

Why it works: It blames the inbox and not the person.

The last message

Essential
{{name}}, I will stop writing now so I do not crowd your phone. If it helps later, I am a message away.

When to send: After three unanswered texts.

Why it works: A kind exit that often brings a reply.

Do not say

  • Texting a number that never agreed to hear from you: bought lists, scraped numbers, a business card you were handed once.

Instead: Text only people who gave you their number for this purpose, type each message yourself, and honor a stop request right away.

    Source

  • "Just checking in" as the whole message.

Instead: Ask one clear question or offer one useful link.

  • Long pitches in the first text.

Instead: Name the reason you are writing and ask a question.

  • Fake urgency ("only today").

Instead: Give a true date or none at all.

  • Continuing after a no.

Instead: Thank them once and stop.

  • Texting at night or on weekends.

Instead: Send during the working day unless they wrote first.

Works in WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram, Messenger and every other app.

Frequently asked questions

What should a good sales text include?

Who you are, why you are writing and one easy question. Keep it under a few short lines.

Can I text prospects at all?

Text people who gave you their number for this purpose and type each message yourself. Never text bought lists. Rules differ by country, so check yours.

What if a prospect never answers?

Send a light nudge, one more with a new angle, then the last message. See Are you still interested.

Can I send these in WhatsApp, iMessage or LinkedIn?

Yes. textcuts is a keyboard, so the messages work in WhatsApp, iMessage, LinkedIn and SMS and every other app where you type.

Do these work on the free plan?

Yes. 11 of the 12 use a single blank, which fills in on the free plan. The other 1 use two blanks and need Pro to fill both from the keyboard. Free holds 8 textcuts and 1 folder, so start with the six essentials.
